Michael McIndoe was a highly successful player for Rovers during the Dave Penney era in the years 2003 until his departure for Derby and then Barnsley in 2006. He was named Rovers player of the year in 2005 and 2006 despite playing only for half of the season in 2006. His biggest moment coming during the Rovers League Cup run in 2006 where he scored and was instrumental against 3 Premiership teams: Man City, Aston Villa and Arsenal.
